Nepal FREED was previously fiscally sponsored by Cross Cultural Journey Foundation, a Northern California–based nonprofit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Through this fiscal sponsorship arrangement, contributions made to support Nepal FREED’s programs and educational initiatives for children in Nepal were eligible for tax-deductible treatment, to the extent permitted by law.
In 2025, Cross Cultural Journey Foundation dissolved following the retirement of its founder, and Nepal FREED’s fiscal sponsorship arrangement with the organization consequently came to an end.
Nepal FREED is now working in partnership with Journey Home Foundation, a Northern California–based nonprofit organization recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Through this new partnership, Journey Home Foundation serves as the fiscal sponsor for Nepal FREED, allowing eligible donations made through the Foundation to support Nepal FREED’s educational and community initiatives while maintaining tax-deductible status to the extent permitted by law.
All donations received through the fiscal sponsorship are administered and processed by Journey Home Foundation. The Foundation also oversees the associated administrative and financial responsibilities related to the donations, ensuring that funds are properly managed and distributed in accordance with applicable nonprofit and tax requirements.
This fiscal sponsorship arrangement allows Nepal FREED to continue its mission of supporting education and improving opportunities for children and communities in Nepal while operating under the financial and administrative oversight of Journey Home Foundation.
